ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI ISLEWORTH TO HOST CAROL SERVICE WITH THE SKY CHOIR

The Reverend Anne Burgess and the congregation of St. Francis of Assisi Isleworth (Church of England) are delighted to announce that the Sky Choir will once again perform at the Christmas Carol Service at the church on Thursday December 8^th 2011 at 6.30 p.m.

The high Gothic arches of the church will echo back joyful voices announcing the birth of Jesus Christ at this sparkling event. The Carol Service with the Sky Choir held at the church last year was enjoyed by all who attended (see photograph attached). Free, festive and heart-warming, this traditional Carol Service is open to people of all faiths and ages, who are cordially invited to listen or sing along with the Sky Choir and their organist, all of whom are employees of Sky, based at the company’s head office near Gillette Corner.

Seasonal refreshments will be available at this special celebration.

St. Francis of Assisi Isleworth, founded in 1933, is located at 865 Great West Road, near Gillette Corner, (H91 Bus Stop). It honours the beloved saint of the environment and all living creatures. St. Francis of Assisi embraced “Lady Poverty”; his example of simple, non-materialistic living is especially important this Christmas, which may be a hard economic time for many.

Favourite carols will include O Holy Night, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, Once in Royal David’s City, and The First Nowell, and there will be readings, and prayers for the world.

St. Francis of Assisi Isleworth and the Sky Choir hope that many will join us on Thursday December 8th to resound the Christmas message of peace, love and joy.
