Location

St Francis of Assisi Church is on the Great West Road (A4), just west of Gillette Corner.  A map showing the location of St. Francis can be viewed here.

Finding St. Francis by Train

Syon Lane Mainline Station is a short walk away.  Upon exiting the station via the steps to the road, turn left and walk up Syon Lane towards Gillette Corner.  Turn left at the petrol station and St. Francis Church can be seen ahead of you on the Great West Road.

Finding St. Francis by Tube

The nearest tube station is Osterley, which is on the Piccadilly Line in travel zone 4.  Upon exiting the station you can get the H91 bus from the bus stop immediately outside the tube station.  Alight from the bus at the fourth stop, which is opposite St. Francis Church.  Alternatively turn left when exiting the station and St Francis is a 20 minute walk, and is on the opposite side of the road from the station.

Finding St. Francis by Bus

The H91 bus route runs between Hounslow West and Hammersmith.  The bus stops outside St. Francis Church on the Great West Road. 

The H28 runs between Cranford and Gillette Corner Tesco via the Hounslow Treaty Centre, Hounslow East, Spring Grove, Ridgeway Road, Wood Lane, London Road and Syon Lane.  Whilst this bus does not pass St. Francis Church, it does stop on Syon Lane, which is only a short walk away.

Finding St. Francis by Car

When approaching from London on the A4 continue past the traffic lights at Gillette corner and St. Francis Church is about 300 metres on the left hand side. 

If you are approaching from the West on the A4 there is no access to the church due to the central reservation.  However, if you turn right into Wood Lane at the Osterley Four Pillars Hotel, and then take the first left into Northumberland Avenue, continue until the end and then turning left into Syon Lane, you can then turn left at the traffic lights back onto the A4 and will approach the church from the east.

Parking

Parking is permitted in the designated white boxes at the side of the Great West Road.  There is no time restriction or parking charge provided you use the white boxes.  Alternatively, there is plenty of parking along the roads behind the church (see map via the link above). The Church can be accessed via the alleyway in Northumberland Avenue, which runs alongside the Church.
