The Prayer of St Francis of Assisi
Lord,
make
me
an
instrument
of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let
me sow love;
where there is injury,
pardon;
where there is doubt,
faith;
where there is despair,
hope;
where there is darkness,
light;
O Divine Master, grant
that I may not so much
seek
to be consoled as to
console,
to be understood as to
understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that
we receive,
it is in pardoning that we
are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we
are born to eternal life.
If you would like us to pray for you or for someone else, please email us stating who or what you would like us to pray for. Your prayer request will form part of our prayers at St. Francis Church for the next month. Please email us again at the end of the month if you would like the prayer to continue, updating us where necessary.
Alternatively, please say if you wish the prayer to be part of the personal prayers of the clergy rather than the public prayers of the church at worship.
Your email will be treated as confidential and we will not contact you unless you have specifically asked us to do so.
